2022 Retrospective

As 2022 comes to an end, I can scarcely believe what the team has achieved this year. So, with that in mind, I would like to take a look back at some of our proudest moments…

Our colleagues

First of all I’d like to talk about our amazing team without whom none of our achievements would be possible. Both Greg and I are immensely proud of them, their values, their commitment and their hard work. Thank you all.

We’ve increased our headcount this year, welcoming new members of staff to the Global Resourcing family, and are pleased to say that everyone who has joined us since the start of the pandemic has stayed too!

This is in large part down to our supportive and collaborative culture, offering talented and creative individuals their chance to make their mark in public and non-profit sector recruitment. They can really make a difference in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and ultimately part of a team. We have made a concerted effort to move away from managing people too closely and using KPI’s, offering an unprecedented level of trust for companies in our industry and, in turn, reaping the rewards.

We’ve also teamed up with Leonard Cheshire this year – an organisation that is well-known for supporting disabled people for over 70 years – and took on our first fabulous intern from the charity to great success.

We’re always looking for bright and ambitious people to join us, so if you’d like the chance to make an impact in 2023, fill in the form here or call us on +44 020 8253 1800 for a confidential chat.

Our customers

We’ve supported a huge number of individuals and organisations this year, and the passion that we have for working across the public and non-profit sectors just grows and grows. Every client engagement, every talented candidate looking to make a difference, every customer centric output that we drive towards, just serves to strengthen our commitment to working with these sectors exclusively.

We’re proud to have achieved 100% success in our campaigns to deliver appointable candidates, which has helped us to achieve record numbers over the last twelve months. We’re also proud to have received consistently positive feedback on our customer experience but we will never stop looking for improvements.

Not only have we retained all of our customers, but we have pushed further into new sectors, including higher education, charities and healthcare and are rapidly implementing our tried and tested approach to the benefit of a wide range of new customers. In several cases, we have been asked to bring our fresh approach after bigger firms in the market have failed to deliver and, in each case, we have been successful.

Some standout moments this year have included taking on our largest ever project, successfully delivering on over 50 roles for Sussex University, renowned for its world-leading research. We also took on a major campaign for HMRC to ensure it has the technological know-how to continue the digital transformation of the services it offers, several flagship roles at Government Digital Service, and the high profile departmental CDIO’s for the Cabinet Office and DCMS, more than any other recruiter over the last year. So it is fair to say that our close ties with the Civil Service have continued, and at one point we were the only agency to advertise for live roles on civil service jobs.

As part of cementing our position as the market leader for public sector Digital, Data and Technology recruitment, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve been added to four more Crown Commercial Service frameworks – the largest public procurement organisation in the UK, which is focused on getting the best commercial deals on behalf of the UK taxpayer. This means that we’re now authorised to search for permanent and executive staff as well as being appointed to the CPC framework for educational organisations.

Our consultancy services have delivered some incredible outcomes for a range of clients, and we intend to grow this capability more in 2023. Not only have we delivered a number of discoveries around internal recruitment processes and EVP’s, but our teams have also delivered data transformations, architectural change and security advancements.

Accreditation

Another major achievement that we’re very proud of is having achieved Recruitment and Employment Confederation accreditation. This means that we can display their logo, having passed their Compliance Test, and demonstrated that we adhere to their Code of Conduct. Our accreditation is in recognition of the value we place on our customers, and the work we do to support them.

Inclusivity

And finally, we’re delighted to mention that we were shortlisted in a prestigious Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity Service Excellence Award at the Recruiter Awards 2022. We have achieved diversity within at least 50% of our placements over the last two years and expect 2022 to be no different. We’re not just talking about it, we’re doing it - and I am so proud of the objectivity, fairness, and delivery that the team have managed.

We are also now recognised by the Armed Forces Covenant, which supports serving or former members of the armed forces and their families.

In summary

As 2023 draws closer, we’re looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings. We’re excited to be continuing our success in assisting in the digital transformation of the UK by finding high-quality candidates for exciting roles. We have achieved a huge amount as a result of employing the right people, letting them do their jobs without interference, and ensuring that we have a rock solid culture with customer centricity at its heart.

So finally on behalf of Greg, the whole team and I, we would like to wish all of our customers and connections a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year (when it comes).
