PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – IT

I am currently working with a leading aerospace client of mine who is currently going through a large expansion within their IT procurement function and would be keen to discuss with candidate experienced within IT procurement.

Job Overview –

The purpose of this role is to support the IT Procurement team in its delivery of multiple IT categories and sourcing strategies, and draft and agree IT Contracts and Change Requests.

The role will formulate, obtain approval and provide support for specific IT Category Management plans and any subsequent sourcing activities which will include supporting end users and project managers with commercial advice throughout the contracting and procurement cycle (scope definition / budget development, tender approach, evaluation, negotiation, contract award, post implementation review and contract close out/renewals).

Job Description –

The Procurement Specialist will also:

  • Operate within defined levels of authority
  • Ensure appropriate approvals for spend are obtained prior to commitment
  • Promote open competition within the supply chain in line with the Procurement Policy
  • Act as initial escalation for procurement issues
  • Assist in the preparation and support category strategies and cost reduction plans
  • Maintain electronic paper and physical document storage
  • Assist with team administrative processes
  • Provide general support to line manager and project teams as required

  • English
