SENIOR PROJECT PROGRAMME MANAGER

We are currently supporting a key financial services consultant client in Amsterdam to help identify a Senior Regulatory Project / Programme Manager to manage significant client projects from initial analysis through to the successful implementation. The remit includes project planning, business analysis, solution design, budget tracking, stakeholder management and ongoing status reporting.

In this role the applicant will have the responsibility for one or more major projects, helping to analyse, specify and prioritise business needs and regulatory requirements in collaboration with various business stakeholders and I.T., where required. As the focus is mainly on regulatory projects, and this particular position will initially be within a large MiFID II programme.

WE are looking for a proven track record in

  • Planning and designing the project before proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating actions as appropriate;
  • Defining the project governance structure;
  • Management of the quality assurance and overall integrity of the project – focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the project; and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other projects/portfolios/programmes and corporate technical and specialist standards;
  • Delivery of multiple projects using a variety of methodologies;
  • Managing the project’s budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits;
  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams;
  • Ensuring that the delivery of new products or services to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan, business case and governance arrangements;
  • Managing third party vendors and costs to the project;
  • Build credible, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels of the organisation;
  • Presenting to project boards and dealing with difficult and demanding stakeholders.

The ideal candidates will have managed projects with a least 10 FTE and budgets of minimum €2 Million and been responsible for successful delivery of client projects including technology, business change and transformation.

In addition you will have experience of successful delivery of projects within Banking or Insurance, ideally gained within a consulting firm. You will have a proven track record and deep functional knowledge of one or more of the following domains:

  • Regulation, Basel III, CRD IV, MiFiD, Solvency II, EMIR, Dodd Frank, Solvency II, FTT;
  • Candidates must be fluent in Dutch and English

The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate experience that covers the complete project life cycle, from defining business case up to deployment and hand over.
