PROJECT RISK ANALYST

Role Purpose

The Projects Risk Analyst shall assist with the administration and implementation of risk management processes in the capital programme, which includes qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis across a wide portfolio of commercial building and aviation infrastructure projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Support the Capital Project Risk Manager in the implementation of project risk management policies, procedures, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems for risk identification, analysis, reporting, and risk treatments.
  • Assist with project risk reporting across the capital programme including weekly, monthly and annual reporting and forecasting.
  • Assist with the preparation of project risk management workshop scheduled on a monthly basis
  • Provide support to Project Managers by conducting project risk reviews and follow-up on action items closeout.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk information to the management team such as results from risk reviews, risk analysis and risk treatment planning as well as status on implementation of risk mitigation’s and the close out of actions.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the effectiveness of the risk management process in the projects.
  • Assist with the training of project managers in the risk management process.
  • Keep up to date with current project issues and status.
  • Maintain professional standards of work

Knowledge & Experience

  • A degree qualification in a construction, engineering, or technically related discipline is preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience of working in a comparable capital project environment; within a client, consultant, or contractor organisation.
  • A solid understanding of project risk management principles and techniques necessary
  • A familiarity with construction, engineering, and project management processes preferred.
  • An ability to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, while balancing people and processes.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills; capable of communicating clearly to colleagues at all levels.
  • Good organisational, numerical and problem solving skills and ability.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera Risk Analysis or other Monte Carlo software desirable.
  • A familiarity with the MS Project or Primavera P6 would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work to demanding deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Positive, energetic, and flexible work attitude.
