Our consulting partner are searching for an experienced Programme Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Dublin, Ireland.

Job Description

Responsible for defining and overseeing the Program KPIs of comprehensive and complex solutions for clients. A Program Manager balances business and technology skills with an enterprise view.

This job will typically entail the following responsibilities:

  • Understand the client business objective and break it down to the techno-functional elements that will help achieve it
  • Run complex projects/programs from discovery and design to production
  • Demonstrate key management skills like resource, issue, risk, scope, cost and stakeholder management at a program level
  • Integrate, align and maintain the client teams as a cohesive working unit
  • Partner with the client organization in proactively managing change
  • Assures the program and related projects achieve their stated objective
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning at a program level
  • Directs and oversees global project business and engineering teams and manages conflicts within group.
  • Assess and address client change management needs that will be required to support (or may result from) the new solution
  • Manages the multiple projects running in parallel
  • Advise client organizations regarding program management best practices
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated background in program management and must have a strong mix of business, consulting, technical, and relationship management skills. They may work with clients to define and deliver a solution or they may orchestrate the delivery of a well-defined solution.

Candidate Competencies

  • Techno-functional background with >10 years of relevant experience (atleast 5 yrs in Project delivery roles and 4-5 years in Project Management, overall 2-4 years in an onsite client facing role). Prior consulting or outsourcing field experience is strongly preferred
  • Candidate should have depth and experience working with two or more of the following program/project areas: data warehousing development, software implementation or software deployment, infrastructure deployment, business process or technical services outsourcing or information management.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of Project Management Office function and project lifecycle management including budget and planning, work scheduling and work management, stage gate processes, contract management, and risk and quality management.
  • Prior experience managing varied groups or distributed global teams. Experience in working with clients of different cultures
  • Should have a clear understanding of financial management and be able to build business value justification cases
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills. Facilitation, conflict management, and consensus building skills
  • General business acumen and understanding of the role of technology in business transformation and increased operational efficiency
  • Methodical, thoughtful approach to problem solving
  • High energy, self- motivated and independent
