An outstanding opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the investor relations team at this rapidly growing international listed group in Brussels.
Reporting to the Head of IR, the Investor Relations Analyst will play a key role in improving the company’s IR effort. The IR analyst will be a critical part of the IR and broader Group Finance team. They will support the Corporate Communication and the Head of Investor Relations in effective execution of all IR functions including In addition to contributing to the current range of IR activity, and crucial to this role, will be the undertaking of financial, peer and industry analysis which will require the Analyst to follow industry and competitor news and results and to assimilate and communicate this information into clear reports and summaries for distribution to the senior management and individual business units and investor communities. The individual must be financially literate with strong analytical and research skills, be proactive with great attention to detail and the credibility to build strong relationships both externally and internally.
• Follow, read and analyse peer news and results & write summary notes and reports
• Liaison with external community (private shareholders, journalists, analysts, brokers, investors – equity & fixed income)
• Industry/Peer Group review and analysis
• Assist in the preparation of all material for full and half year results as well as interim management statements
• Act as secondary point of contact for sell-side and buy-side analysts
• Track and report analyst consensus
• Support the Senior Management team and the Head of Investor Relations on roadshows
• Drafting non-sensitive press releases
• Actively target investors and monitor progress
• Take a proactive role in verifying and supporting external statements with relevant data and statistics
• Maintain IR section of website
• Arrange and organise the logistics for investor days, roadshows, events etc.
• Responsibility for controlling the IR budget
Skills & experience:-
• Highly financially literate – CFA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA would be an advantage
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong relationship building skills
• Enthusiastic, conscientious, proactive with a ‘value-add’ approach
• Exceptional written communication skills in order to draft & contribute to IR publications
• Ability to use initiative and take ownership of projects
• Ability to proof read and edit sensitive IR publications, including technical finance information
• Previous in-house experience in an analytical, finance or research role OR experience gained within an accountancy or consultancy background.
• Strong educational background, applicants must have university degree preferably in finance or accounting-related field
• English Candidates must be completely fluent (both verbal and written). Other European Languages would be an advantage
