Full Stack Java Developer team required for a cutting-edge, exciting digital project using latest technologies and modern-engineering practices.

Please NOTE: elements of this project will require working on a secure site. You will need to already have SC clearance or be prepared to undergo the process which means that you MUST have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.

The role:

  • Produce code, configuration and artefacts that will be used in a Continuous Integration, test & Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Develop strategies to continuously improve code quality to minimize the support overhead and maximize customer value.
  • Coding and configuration management in a DevOps environment
  • Provide input into requirements gathering and user experience definition
  • Problem solving is a core requirement along with negotiating the optimal solution for both operations, performance and future development.
  • High aptitude individual with excellent communication skills
  • 4 – 10 years development experience building and deploying enterprise and or cloud applications
  • Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications
  • Experience of IDE’s, Build Tools and CI / Continuous Deployment systems including the use of Git, Maven, Jenkins, Idea / Eclipse
  • Experience in some or all of Java, JVM, container management, C# / Ansible / Swift / Javascript / Go desirable.
  • Experience in relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred
  • Exposure to NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra etc
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Solr, Lucene, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Exposure to cloud platform technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet
  • Exposure to web development, including AngularJS, React/Flux, nodeJS, HTML and CSS

Must be used to development environments using Agile and XP practices: TDD & BDD, Continuous Delivery. Along with REST and Microservices Architectures. Proven analytical ability, problem solving skills and decision making skills along with demonstrable technical background will secure an interview.
